International Student Group Injury Medical Insurance

The relevant insurance regulations and instructions are as follows:

(1) Cost: NT$3,600 - 6 months 

(2) The insured person is accepted at the hospital or clinic due to illness or injury during the validity period of this contract (if the insured is insured after this contract takes effect, it means the day after the insured). For outpatient (emergency) medical expenses (including all expenses of diagnosis, prescription, medicine, examination or X-ray examination) actually collected by the hospital or clinic for medical treatment, the company pays "outpatient (emergency) medical insurance money" , But the maximum payment amount is limited to 1,000 yuan each time.

(3) Please go to the hospitals and clinics with the national health insurance label (see below).

(4) If you are a degree student, please provide the same Chinese name as on your residence permit when you seek medical treatment.
If you are a Chinese course student, please provide the same English name as on your passport when seeking medical treatment.

(5) Please obtain the following two documents from the clinic/hospital:
a. Receipt: The clinic/hospital will provide it every time you seek medical treatment.
b. Diagnosis certificate: If you have completed the diagnosis and treatment of the same injury/cause, please reapply at the last medical visit.

(6) Please bring the documents listed in (5) to the International Office, we will assist you in filling out the claim application form.

National Health Insurance (NHI)

According to regulations, international students must join the National Health Insurance Program half a year after obtaining the ARC. Each semester lasts for six months (September to February next year, March to August). The national health insurance fee is NT$749 per month. Therefore, you will pay NT$4,494 (NT$749*6 months) for health insurance in the second semester. For international students, the health insurance fee will be included in the miscellaneous fees paid before the beginning of each semester.

(1) Insurance application
After obtaining ARC, international students who have been in Taiwan for six months must apply for an international health insurance plan. Please go to I211 of the International Office of Chung Hwa University and bring the following documents:
a photo
ARC front and back copy
If you leave China within six months of arriving in Taiwan, please bring your passport

(2) Insurance cancellation
It is recommended that graduates, postponed, suspended or suspended students go to the International Office to cancel the national health insurance plan, return the health insurance card, and get a health insurance fee refund.

(3) Insurance suspension
Graduates, postgraduates or students who have suspended their studies should go to the International Office to suspend your national health insurance plan. International students who intend to go abroad for more than half a year should also suspend the national health insurance plan according to the length of stay abroad. During this time, you will not have to pay health insurance premiums. However, it should be noted that if you return to Taiwan and continue your studies before the half-year expiration date, you will need to pay a monthly health insurance fee based on the number of days abroad.

(4) Insurance restoration
If you want to reinstate insurance after deferring or suspension of studies, please go to the International Office to apply for reinstatement of the National Health Insurance Plan.

(5) What should I do if my health insurance card is lost
If you lose your health insurance card, please contact any post office or the National Health Insurance Bureau to apply for a new health insurance card. The application fee is NT$200.
